E- Tickets Seller of Record Policy

Seller of Record Policy

Effective Date: August 9th 2025

TL;DR:
If you sell tickets on MMAM, you’re the legal seller — not MMAM. You’re in charge of paying any sales tax, following your local laws, and delivering what you sold. MMAM just runs the platform and sends you the money after fees.

1. You own the sales

  • All ticket sales are legally your sales, not MMAM’s.

  • You are responsible for following all local, state, and federal laws for your event.

2. You handle sales tax

  • If your event is in a state or city that charges sales tax, you may be required to register for a sales tax permit beforeselling tickets.

  • MMAM does not register or collect sales tax on your behalf unless you are already registered and provide that information during onboarding.

3. Stripe Tax setup

  • If you are registered for sales tax in the state where your event takes place, MMAM (through Stripe) will enable tax collection and remittance for that state in your account.

  • If you are not registered, tax will not be collected, and you are responsible for any obligations.

4. Payouts

  • Ticket proceeds (minus MMAM’s platform fee and Stripe’s processing fees) will be sent directly to your Stripe-connected bank account.

  • You are responsible for reporting this income on your taxes.

5. Event cancellations & refunds

  • You are responsible for honoring all tickets sold.

  • If an event is canceled or changed, you must issue refunds in compliance with local laws.
